Gunter & Co was appointed to take on the interior design and interior architecture of this new-built mansion located in one of the most exclusive ‘villages’ of SW London.
The client’s brief was to create exciting and detailed interiors that matched the intricate and historical detailing being created for the external elevations. Working from a blank sheet of paper & with the benefit of a large footprint and great ceiling heights, our team set off creating a spatial plan that suited the family’s current and future needs – as well as retaining the allure of a traditional country mansion.
We worked closely with a number of specialist crafts to create bespoke millwork, covings and other details to distinguish this property from its peers.
A lot of attention to detail was put into concealing the extensive audio-visual and mechanical systems and interfaces required to operate a house of this scale.
The planning phase on this project took over 10 months, prior to breaking ground, with design and technical drawings continuing well into the 20 month programme on site in order to ensure that no detail was forgotten.
